Grand Opening of the Long Island Music and Entertainment Hall of Fame

Last week, the Long Island Music and Entertainment Hall of Fame (LIMEHoF) had its grand opening. Ernie Canadeo, EGG Group CEO and LIMHoF Chairman, proudly oversaw the proceedings.

LIMHoF.HomeAfter the announcement this past summer that LIMHoF had finally found an official home at the Ward Melville Educational and Cultural Center in Stony Brook, NY, work began on organizing everything from exhibits to the grand opening.

LIMHoF.Ribbon CuttingA gala ribbon-cutting event was held on Tuesday, November 22. Earlier LIMEHoF inductees such as Paula Janice and Carole Demas (of TV’s “The Magic Garden” fame) and members of LI-based bands like Blue Oyster Cult and Twisted Sister, among others, mingled with guests to witness amazing exhibits that included…LIMHoF.Club

The premiere exhibit—“Long Island’s Legendary Club Scene – 1960s-1980s.” Designed and executed by Kevin O’Callaghan, guests experienced either a walk down memory lane or got a taste of what the live music scene on Long Island was like back in the day.

LIMHoF.MuseumThe official “Hall of Fame Museum,” which houses memorabilia—including posters, clothing, and original album covers, among many other items—from over 120 inductees.
