Nicole Penn, President of EGC Group, offered her insights to Newsday on how the changes brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic have made it necessary for businesses to truly connect with their customer base via personalization and by providing a smooth, convenient shopping experience.

The Newsday article cited a recent survey where the majority of respondents claimed they were inclined to make purchases from brands or businesses they trusted. With safety concerns top-of-mind, personally connecting with a brand is the top priority among consumers. Nicole noted, among other points, the success of brands that offer personalized messaging, convenience, and an overall easy shopping experience to their customers. A platform that can help these businesses is Raydeus, which EGC created last year, for the purpose of keeping all relevant information (e.g., hours, locations) up-to-date. Ultimately, the lines of communication between brands and consumers must be open and transparent, especially in these times.
